Grandstand Purlin and Roofing Replacement – Brisbane Grammar School
Touchstone Building Services (TBS) was engaged by Brisbane Grammar School to perform a complete roof and purlin replacement on the school’s Otto Nothling Hall grandstand structure. The project included the safe removal and replacement of damaged roofing components, reinforcement of structural steel members, and installation of compliant safety systems — all delivered within strict site access and operational timeframes.

Removal of existing Colorbond sheeting, flashings, insulation, and redundant safety wire.

Supply and installation of new .48 BMT Colorbond Spandeck roofing with 60mm anticon insulation.

Integration of drypan, barge, and throat flashings with UV-resistant Decktites.

Coordination of electrical isolation and reinstatement for lighting and PA systems mounted beneath the roof structure.

Demolition and reinstatement of internal plasterboard ceilings in Otto Nothling Hall.

Installation of 10mm ceiling-grade plasterboard, joint taping, sanding, and finishing.

Repainting of ceilings and wall touch-ups using Dulux Wash & Wear Low Sheen and Dulux Ceiling White systems.
